I really shouldn’t be doing this …
I mean, it hasn’t even been officially decided upon yet. But I got sent this cover art for the UK edition of Vroom by the Sea and I just had to show it to you guys.
I love it. The illustration. The typography. The colours. It’s the first cover I’ve ever been sent that I’m 100% happy with.
Like I said, the publishers haven’t committed to it yet. They want to try out a few other things first.
Me, I’m sold. I’ve printed a copy out and stuck it on my computer.

Hey peter
I like it! That’ll jump out (and jump off) the shelves.
And if the publisher won’t go for it just do do what I do – stamp my feet and sear a lot. That usually works.
cheers

works for me.
just waiting for the thing to come out! Any longer and you won’t look anything like your jacket photos!!!!
Hate the wait. Scratching me balls and sniffing me fingers just don’t cut it any more. Even me dog has upped and left. Had me a truck, but the rust got in and the sump fell out and the big end seized solid. Me Pa died a while back and then me brother. Got me a wife, but she says she ain’t staying much longer. I even bought her a new dress. No matter. Gee I’m gonna miss that dawg.

If you hadn’t written the book, done the planning and made the effort to make the trip, they wouldn’t be making any money from publishing it. Tell ‘em your having the cover how YOU want it, not how they want it. Arrogant buggers.

Great info thanks for the share. You don’t mind if I ask you a rhetorical question about yourself do you?
