Logistics. Why didn’t I think about the damn logistics?

My call out for advice and places to sleep on my big UK adventure has been a huge success. I’ve been invited to a wedding and a trip on a narrow boat. And had offers to take part in the recreation of a Civil War battle in Newbury and a five-a-side football match in Grimsby.

As Rex Mossop would have said, it’s all happening.

Of course, when I had the bright idea of putting up a forum I hadn’t really thought through the logistics of collating and responding to the suggestions I got – both on the board and by email.

I have now. And my first official duty as Chief Data Coraller is ask for a little patience and assure you that I will be getting back to you shortly.

And so the work begins …

Sounds like you need to appoint an administrator! Maybe that should be the new tool of choice for travellers – a coordinator to do all the “boring stuff”!

Although maybe for some people the planning is half the fun? For me it’s when the trip starts to feel “real” and I get excited, scared, then excited again!
