Scooter Internet Radio

Scootercast InterviewI had a chat with Dave Mangano from SCTRCST the other day. SCTRCST is an internet radio station dedicated to scooters and I had the privilege of being the subject of Episode 50. So congratulations to Dave for reaching that landmark.

It was a fun interview. I was expecting it to be a meeting of Ves-bore minds with Dave and I debating the relative merits of a Rally 200 over the Rally 180. But Dave is too good an interviewer for that. He had me talking about broader aspects of my writing that, frankly, no one else has ever picked up on.

You’ll find my interview here >>

On a totally different, fanboy note, I got namechecked on Swedesplease yesterday. I emailed Craig Bonnell, the guy who runs the blog, to alert him about an MP3 Jens Lekman posted on his website of a concert he just did in Istanbul. Craig was nice enough to acknowledge his source and link to an interview I did with Mr Lekman a couple of years ago.

I know it’s sad, but it made my day.

It’s amazing that what seems to me to be a small interest group has some serious following on the internets*. I have downloaded that podcast to listen to after the latest Dr Karl and John Safran episodes. I hope you were entertaining.

Namechecked on a website you frequent, nice. Next thing you know it will lead to buying the books, inviting him to a BBQ and peering in through his bathroom window….although to be honest, it might be the books that are the original step that leads to going through your rubbish in my undies late at night ;-)

*which reminds me of the saying, anything you can think of has a porn based interest group on the internet (shocking paraphrasing).
