And it’s a freebie! It’s called The 40-Year-Old Vespa Virgin and first appeared in a Lonely Planet anthology called Flightless.
Before you get too excited, I should point out that, basically, it’s Vroom with a View, abridged down to 3,235 words. There’s a few new lines in there, but I figured it would be best to experiment with an old anthology story than bugger up something new and fresh.
Anyways, it’s available now in all it’s DRM-free glory and in any eBook format you can think of here at Smashwords. Download it, take it out for a spin, and tell me if you find any typos or other glaring errors.
Thanks too for the huge response to my call for help last week. I made it the day before heading off on a week’s holiday – not the most sensible thing to do, I know – and I’m slowly working my way through your emails now.
And, finally, if you’ve come to this website after reading the book and you want to check out some pics from the trip, just click on the Vroom with a View link to the right.
This is where you'll find everything you need to know about me and my books.
just saw one little word error (‘start’ instead of ‘star’ when describing waking Sophia up in the morning). Editing-wise I think it looks good.
Thanks Christine – just fixed it.
