You might know him as the author of the fantastically successful Signspotting website and books where he collated funny and inappropriate signs from all over the world. (If you’re going to the Edinburgh Fringe this year, watch out for the life-size 3D Signspotting Exhibition.)
Anyway, Doug has a new venture celebrating all that is weird and perverse about travel. And he needs your help.
Welcome to The Titanic Awards.
Doug hopes that the Titanic Awards will become the ultimate accolade for the things that don’t go quite right while you’re on the road. And much-needed recognition for the darker and fustier corners of the travel industry.
This is where you come in. Doug has set up a survey that will become the basis of the inaugural award ceremony. And he needs travellers like you to take it.
