No.1 on Amazon

Vroom by the Sea is officially released in the UK today. So I popped over to Amazon.co.uk to check out how it was doing.

I was delighted to see that it was number one.

OK. It was number one in the ‘travel books about Italy’ list.

But still, not bad for a book that Amazon still list as only available on pre-order.

Amazon bestseller

I bought my copy ten days ago at Stanford’s.
They officially released before official release?
    I enjoyed it.

Loved the book , when I read it a year ago after buying it online from an Aussie book shop! Surely I wasn’t the only one to think of that?!

No Richard you weren’t, but books here down at this end of the earth are sooooo bloody expensive (offensively so), that I think most people could only afford for the likes of Amazon to release it in the UK.

To compensate, the wine is cheaper down here. :)

You’re right Matt, I paid $44( AUD) including P&P to have it shipped from down under, you could say I was a little impatient… Worth it though!

….and have you noticed that the paper used for Vroom By The Sea is really lovely and soft (much superior to other books!)

    ……or it is just me!!?

I totally agree with the other reviews – this book has been well worth the wait. Have just started reading it and just cannot put it down. Peter’s lively tales of his adventures in Italy never fail to transport me straight back to my own travels in this wonderful country. Can’t wait to read his new book observing us Brits!
