UK release date for Vroom by the Sea named. World saved.

Just got word from my publishers that the UK edition of Vroom by the Sea will be hitting bookstores across Britain in the early days of April next year.

About. Bloody. Time.

Now I can answer all the emails asking me about it. That’s at least half of the 743 emails in my inbox cleared!

Hurrah! Congratulations Peter. A bit away, but I am sure it will be worth the wait!

April? You may have to remind me to go buy it. I was recently back in Oz for a few weeks and completely forgot to go looking for it despite the long number of hours I spent in book stores browsing.

I ended up buying the sequel to “A year in the merde.”

Got a friend to send me over a copy from Aus last year. It definately is worth the wait. Can’t say too much without spoiling it but if you liked the first Vroom you’ll like the second.

When’s the third in the trilogy coming out Pete?

    Hi Peter,

Home sick from work today and I sat by the fire on a cold Sydney day reading my second hand copy of “Vroom with a View”. Just wanted to say as a frustrated would-be traveler I really enjoyed it and will pick up “Vroom by Sea” soon.

    Cheers

Are you sure it isn’t a cruel April Fools scam?

4 years is way too long!

I suddenly fell a lot better about my overflowing e-mail in-box.

Quite glad I brought a copy of this mail order from Australia now! Cost me £10 for the book plus £10 postage which I thought was fairly reasonable. I was too impatient for it to be released over here!

Thats great news Peter, now I don’t have to ask my friend in Melbourne to send me over a copy.

However, what I would liek to know is, what ever happened to Crikey! ?

It is about time! Although I must confess I have already bought an Australian edition via some friends who went on holiday Down Under a few months ago.

    Loved it, by the way.
