I’m giving two talks at the TNT Travel Show in London tomorrow. It’s on at the New Connaught Rooms, 61-65 Great Queen St, London WC2. I’ve embedded a Google Map below.
The first one is called Getting Off The Gringo Trail and is about travelling through difficult and challenging destinations. It’s on at 11 am.
The second one is called The Hidden Side of Africa. It’s about getting beyond the game parks and interacting with the locals. It’s on at 4.30 pm, a much more civilised time.
I’m going to need a drink after the last one, so if you’re not into a hurry to get home, you’re more than welcome to join me.
If the last two shows are anything to go by, we’ll probably end up at The Prince of Wales, just up the road.
This is where you'll find everything you need to know about me and my books.
If not for a 5 year old friend of my daughter having a dinosaur themed birthday party I would been there for the second talk. I spent a month in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe in 2001 and would really like to get back there. Unfortunately a small girl came along and ruined my chances of getting away for a while. My few interactions with the locals were good.
One day I will get back there…
