Remember that competition my publishers organised to promote the release of Vroom by the Sea in Australia? The one where 25 finely-crafted words could net you a return trip to the Amalfi Coast? Well, it closed on December 31 last year.
A winner hasn’t been chosen yet. Apparently the judges are still wading through the thousands of entries that flooded in. But they sent me this photo of one of the more creative entries.
It’s a 3-D model of a guy riding an orange Vespa through Italy. Impressive, yes. But also spookily reminiscent of the models the miniature killer was knocking out in the recent series of CSI.
Still, you have to admire the way the model maker captured my wonky right forearm. And fashioning Italy out of what looks to be dog poo was a masterstroke!
