I’m out the door in an hour for the flight to Oz.
The things I’m looking forward to:
The movies – we never get to the cinema anymore since Daisy was born.
The food – I know this makes me sound like a freak but I actually enjoy eating airline food. It’s not the food itself. Just the way it is presented. And the way it breaks the tedium of sitting in the same chair for 24 hours.
Having time to sit and think – I don’t feel as though I’ve had a moment to myself for a couple of years now.
The things I’m not looking forward to:
The commute to Heathrow – I live in London but it takes nearly as long as the flight to Oz.
Security at either end – I must bear a striking resemblance to a suspected terrorist because I’m always being pulled aside and frisked.
Having time to sit and think. It’ll just give me time to remember the things I didn’t do and the stuff I forgot to pack.
This is where you'll find everything you need to know about me and my books.
Hey Peter,
Have a great trip, I’m certainly envious of you leaving this cold English weather behind. It seems worse than ever at the moment!
Pete
