From The Blog

Welcome to the new look web site

Well, it took a while, but the all-new PeterMoore.net (with matching blog) has been let loose on the world. The guys at e-CBD created the templates and I just spent the last week plonking the content in. Man, what a job. I didn’t realise my site was so God-damn vast!

The site still needs a few tweaks. I’m still sorting out the flash new slideshows. And some of the images will be a little grainy until I get into my storage unit in Sydney and dig out the originals for rescanning. But overall I’m pleased with it. Really pleased with it.

Hopefully it’ll make your experience here a lot more enjoyable too.

    Very nice!
(Though I said that last week when I got a sneak peak.)

Slight problem with the comment box – it’s too wide for the blog box, and runs under the links in the sidebar.

Thanks for that. My web gurus are on to it.

    Hi Peter,

I am a new fan…see how I was introduced to your work on my blog….
    I bought Same Same…for USA 49 cents,online, great read.

I ride a Gold Milan 50cc named ‘Gigi’.

Hope to catch up Brisbane at Mary Ryan’s.

The NEW website and blog look great,
how do they make those little calendars..
I want them, but in blue!

    Hi Penny,

Hope you can make it. Will you be bringing Gigi?

From what I can gather the little calendars are just an image. I’m sure you could make them blue easy enough. Not sure of how you make them display. If you understand that kind of stuff I can send you the images.

    Hi Peter,

The new website looks amazing! Really impressed. However, on a different note, I was just looking at the map of the 98 countries you have visited so far. Are you trying to say that you live in England and have never been to France? You are from Australia and have never been to New Zealand? With all this money you will soon be making from the new book, book a trip on Eurostar and treat the wife and kids to a weekend in Paris!!

    Pete

    Hey Pete,

I have been to France and NZ. The map needs a disclaimer – ‘Not an accurate represenation – for design purposes only.’

I’m actually looking for a thrid party app I can put in there. I know Facebook has something where you can mark all the countries you’ve visited and it shows up on your web page.

Trouble is they’re all a bit ugly and I’m loathe to mess up my lovely new site with them.

I think I’ll just have to photoshop this one.

    *sigh*

oh, to have web gurus… (I almost typed “web pixies” – they’d be cool, too.)

I’m not how Leon at e-CBD would react if I started calling him my web pixie. Not well, I suspect.

I really like the new design. Now I’m jealous and I will have to do one too.

Great design, it’s a shame the site is so slow. I used to enjoy popping by to look at the photos or find out when the next book was coming (Crikey?) but now it’s too frustrating for me. Sorry.

I’ll have to stick with old school paper.
