Cairns Unlimited

I’m not in the habit of giving plugs to businesses or services. I’m trying to hold on to what little scraps of credibility that I have. But I do like to encourage and support people who have a dream, put everything on the line and pursue it relentlessly.

Steve Savage is one of those guys. Yesterday I received this pack of goodies from him promoting his new enterprise – a one-stop travel information web site about Cairns and Far North Queensland called Cairns Unlimited. If you’re thinking of heading to that part of the world you could do worse than check it out.

I’ve got to say, I’m in awe of Steve. A web site of that scope is a massive undertaking. And his energy is boundless. Google announced that you could now embed their maps in your web site yesterday and he’s already whacked one in showing where all the internet cafes are in Cairns!

I am spending a week at home with the after affects of bronchial pneumonia and am re reading all your books – just as good as the first time and i feel i can place your views on spending a little more clearly than the first time around – sorry Peter, you are are a bit of short arms long pockets type from what i can see – not a fault that i see as detrimental to anyone else, but doesn’t it limit your choices a bit? Still, a free biro and a stubby holder is not a bad result for nothing.

    Cheers, Ian

    Hi Ian,
Glad the books held up to a second reading!

Re: Long pockets/short arms. I’m getting better. Really! And like you said, it certainly opens up new horizons!

and you’re right about the biro and the stubbie holder. Very handy!

I should also point out that Steve’s site caters to people of all budgets. Not just tightwads like myself.
