Tired and Emotional

Just a quick thanks to everyone who came along to my talk on Saturday. And to the brave souls who adjourned to the pub up the road afterwards.

It was the same pub as last year and I still can’t remember the name of it. The Prince of something, I think. Anyway, you come out of the New Connaught Rooms, turn left, walk past the Masonic Lodge and it’s the first pub you come to. There were a few Masons in their black suits and white gloves holding the bar up but we soon scared them off.

It was a big night. So big that I can’t actually remember leaving the pub. I’m not sure if I said goodbye before I wandered off into the night to catch the last train to Epsom.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. From what I remember cats were going hungry, ex-boyfriends were being stood up and the observatory in Greenwich was going unvisited. So it couldn’t have been too bad.

Anyway, I’d better get going. The question everyone was asking was when the next book is out. All I can say is that I had to spend yesterday recovering so a day later than planned!
