The first snow of 2007

I woke up this morning to find everything covered in snow. I couldn’t help but smile. I’m an Aussie, you see, and the novelty still hasn’t worn off. I still take photos of wheelie bins covered in the stuff.

Of course, I work up in the loft. I don’t have to deal with the icy roads or trains that have been cancelled because it’s the wrong kind of snow. I just have to rug up a bit more as I write about a summer in Italy.

The novelty hasn’t worn off for Daisy either. It’s only the third time she’s seen snow. And she got to wear her red snow boots again that we bought especially for our trip to Norway.

    Peter,
As a Thirty-Something Brit, the novelty of sunshine still hasn’t worn of for me!

Daisy’s so cute! Enjoy the snow. Raining here, the day before Invasion Day. Preparing myself for flag-waving, no-neck bogans…

Dammit, Pete. You gotta tell that kid to stop being so fricken CUTE!

Stinking hot, humid Perth day here. Looking forward to Oz Day on the beach with a cold beer or five and a shit game of beach cricket. (One hand, one bounce rule ALWAYS to apply).

    Take Care
