Here’s a little something to help cheer up the English readers of this blog feeling a bit down after their Ashes debacle. Brett Lee has released a song in India and it debuted at number four. That’s two spots higher than his current ranking as a bowler.Apparently he knocked off the lyrics during the recent ICC Champions Trophy in India and recorded the song – and the film clip – between matches.
OK, it’s a little dodgy but the line – ‘I know I’m not an Indi’ is priceless.
Well done, Binga!
Since the upgrade I can’t seem to embed YouTube videos here. (I told you my computer skills were ace!) If you want to have a look at the video clip you’ll have to click here instead.
This is where you'll find everything you need to know about me and my books.
I think it is also worth mentioning that Monty Panesar was officially named the 2006 “Beard of the Year” by the Beard Liberation Front!
Adam
Haha that is a classic almost makes the 5-0 bareable
Love it. I don’t know which is better..the singing or the acting.
PMSL at the beard comment…!
Somehow, I really don’t see him as a scary fast bowler after that. Did you notice there were moments where his singing took on an operatic quality?
Peter, when your books are released in India, will the publishers be arranging a similar stunt as part of their marketing strategy? One where you’ll whisk off a young Hindi lass on your zooped-up wespa?
I wonder if there’s any chance of him doing a duet with Mark Butcher…?
Depends what Mark Butcher would look like in a yellow dress …
