Time for a good lie down

Our inflatable kangaroo got a little over-excited during Australia’s 2-2 draw with Croatia last night and developed a puncture. She’s having a little bit of a lie-in and conserving her energy for the big match against the Azzuri on Monday.

I know how she feels. Two blatant penalties missed. The ref forgetting to send a player off. And a late Harry Kewell off-side wonder goal to secure the result. I need a good lie down myself.

I think I’ll just eat the Caramello Koala instead.

It could be worse. Imagine being Graham Poll right now!

He’s lucky the result went the way it did and the more deserving team went through. If it wasn’t for ‘Spider’ Kalac’s comedy goal-keeping we probably would have had the game in the bag a bit earlier!

This World Cup was long-overdue a spot of ‘comedy goalkeeping’ – although it’s usually provided by one of the South American teams (most notably Columbia in the past).
I found it ironic that the commentator said that Kalac had been selected over Schwarzer because of his ability to deal with set-pieces. But then, the same guy also said before kick-off that Mr Poll had a fair chance of reffing the final if England fail to get much further…
Has your inflatable kangaroo got a name?
