Taking it easy in the Big Easy

I had a quiet day today. Just hanging out and buying a few souvenirs for the girls back home. A get-rich-quick ju-ju doll for Sally (her request). And a collection of Mardi Gras beads for Daisy.

I also went to the cinema for only the second time since Daisy was born. You’d think I’d see something decent on such a momentous occassion but I went and saw The Da Vinci Code instead. I haven’t read the book so I rather enjoyed it. Ian McKellen was very good as was Audrey Tautou. Ends up she’s directly related to Christ.

I’ve always thought there was something about her.

I’d not read the book either but really enjoyed the film – thoughtful and yet fast-paced, and certainly better than the reviews had made out. And Gandalf was excellent in it.

Hope you’re still enjoying the tour! Look forward to hearing how the rest of it goes…

The book was un-puttable-downable … or so says I. Kind of like yours :)
Hmm, does that sound overly effusive and downright crawly …unintended really … but I gave both the same attention and they were read in less than 3 days.

Peter’s are slightly more believable, however!
