Jim Belushi and my book signing

I had another brush with fame when I finally got out to the Book Expo. I saw a guy who looked exactly like Jim Belushi. He was sitting at a table signing the audiobook version of Jim Belushi’s autobiography, Real Men Don’t Apologise. I joined the queue and upon reaching the table asked him if he really was Jim Belushi. He confirmed that he was so I asked him if he knew if Danny Glover really did charge for photographs. I think the photo gives you a pretty good indication of his answer.

I was pencilled in to do a signing at 3 pm. To be honest, I thought I’d spend the time sitting with a pile of books trying to will people to come over and take a copy. But thanks to the strong arm tactics employed by my publishers Lori, Cait and Janine, I shifted over 200 books.

Not bad for an unknown Aussie who doesn’t look the least bit like Danny Glover or Jim Belushi.
