All of a sudden the US publication of Vroom with a View is starting to feel a bit more tangible. You can pre-order it on Amazon. You can have a look inside at my publisher’s web site. And I’m flying to Washington on the 18th of May to press the flesh at the 2006 BookExpo America.
According to the BEA website it’s a ‘dynamic environment for networking, sourcing and relationship building.’ I think my publishers are hoping I can charm visiting booksellers into ordering more copies of my book.
I reckon telling them that my dad, Les, is the plumber at Australia Zoo will do the trick!

Looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of the book. I’m sure you will find a lot of new readers in the US.
No way! Is Les seriously your Dad? or are you yanking my chain?
If that’s true – that is so cool!
Any news on the UK release of Crikey! I’m desperate to read it
Ciao Millie
Sounds interesting Peter. Things are looking up for you in the States! From what my agent tells me, the book market is worth five times as much in the USA than in the UK (if only she could find a blasted publisher for my book!) – soon we can start calling you Peter Moore-Money (I know – awful, awful joke – I’m sure I could have done better than that!)
I recently spent some time in DC as part of the research into my book. I have a GREAT contact out there with the Washington DC police department – great guy and he likes his beer! If you need some company for an evening, let me know!
Mick ‘yer man’
From what I can see, your collection seems pretty well stocked in the Canadian bookstores – not quite the US, but it’s a start!
