Well, I did my talk at York University last night. There was a good turn out too – including a number of non-students who found me in Vanbrugh College despite the insistence of the receptionist that what they really wanted was Tom Moore’s campaign launch in room 25B. Best of all 8 people (out of a crowd of about 40 or so) joined me for a couple of pints at a nearby student bar. By my reckoning that makes Josh Whedon only 6.2 times more popular than me!
Anyway, a big thanks to everyone who turned up last night and to Adam Sloan for organising it. (You can stop calling him on his mobile now. As much as he’d like to catch up for a beer he’s got an essay to write.) And well done to Phil and his mate for coming all the way from Garforth and to Graham, who is currently in Sydney, but made sure his parents came along to swell the numbers.
Sadly, Graham’s parents couldn’t stay for a beer. Which is a shame really. Then Joss Whedon would have only been 5 times more popular than me!
This is where you'll find everything you need to know about me and my books.
Sorry we didn’t stay for a beer. We thought we were rather too old! Graham was pleased tohear our account of the talk. It’s typical that he’s in Australia when you are in York!
We enjoyed oursleves, hearing yuor traveller’s tales. Safe journeying in the future!

Good to hear it was a successful night!
The receptionist almost threw me off the scent with his bunny in the headlights look when i asked where Peter was doing his talk. Fortunately after showing him the flyer he came back to life. Stayed for a few beers and talked Peters ear off about football. Was a good night all round pity i had to get up for work next day!
