Just finished interviewing Jens Lekman in a cafe in Stockholm – what a cool guy! We talked about music, travel and ukuleles. All the important things in life. Best of all, we were served by an Aussie girl from Darwin trying to make it in the Swedish music business. What are the chances?
Stockholm is as brilliant as I thought it would be – cold, beautiful and very relaxed. I got to see Suburban Kids with Biblical Names playing live and tuck into some genuine Swedish meatballs. The only down note is that I lost my favourite beanie in the NK Department store. (I was checking if they stocked my books – they had one copy of NSITT)
No other news. Thanks for all the tips on what to see and do in Stockholm. I’m slowly ticking them off my list.
This is where you'll find everything you need to know about me and my books.
I wandered through Jens site … wotcha going to do with the interview? I’m curious to read it. He seems like an interesting soul.
Have fun traveling.
Hi Di,
I’m doing some stuff for a new travel web site starting in January and basically used that as an excuse to catch up with Mr Lekman. When he tours he travels like a backpacker, sleeping on couches and hanging out with people he meets. So the interview was as much about his travels as his music. Listening back to the tape though I talked too much – way too much!
Will we read about the travel web site here, get a link and all that stuff? Or must we google?
I’ll put a link up here on the blog when it comes out.
