Free MP3s! For Everyone!

One of the ways that I have learned to live with my profound ability to procrastinate while I’m writing a book is to tinker with my website and then convince myself that I have done something constructive. OK, the site probably isn’t any better for all the little tweaks I give it, but it certainly makes me feel better

My latest innovation is to offer free MP3s of the talks I give at bookstores and literary events. I only came up with the idea the other day so currently all I have to offer is the chat I gave at Stoke Newington. I’ve divided the talk into three parts – each segment is about 5mb in size.

You’ll find the MP3s here, on the new Live! page. I’ll be interested to hear what you think.

Love the MP3 thing, thanks. Your books, they’re inspiring and I had talked myself through the whole ‘okay Di, the Aussie bloke probably won’t be giving any talks about his books over in Belgium in the near future’, and it was okay …

Friday, I discovered ALL of your books in Waterstones, over in Brussels, no worries.

Then this … my wee cup runneth over.

    Kind regards,
    Di

    Hi Di,

Good news about my books being in Waterstones in Brussels. Hopefully they’ve got the Dutch versions as well. Keep an eye on De Standaard too. I’m doing an interview with them in a couple of weeks!

Great to be able to hear one of your talks. I haven’t read about any of them coming to the continent (could be wrong though), so this is good for fans who do not live close to the civilised world.

Nice for the fans who were there, though listening to them, I felt you were quite nervous, either that, or you’re still laughing at the things you wrote yourself. Nevermind, the stories you write are fun to read, I certainly enjoyed reading several of your books, this website (the columns!) are a nice addition, so is the blog. The MP3′s are just another extra.
