What my iPod wants me to listen to

One of my favourite sections of music magazines is the part where they ask someone well-known what’s playing on their iPods. I learned, for example, that Ricky Gervais of The Office fame is a big Kings of Convenience and Fountains of Wayne fan. He went up immeasurably in my estimation.

Most of the time though it simply confirms what crap taste in music people have. Or how desperate they were to put everything and anything on their iPod to trying and fill up the 20 Gb drive.

So, in the spirit of such columns, I thought I’d see what my iPod wanted me to listen to this morning. Not only does it confirm that I have crap taste in music too, but I suspect there is a message from the cosmos in the songs chosen. Looking at this lot it’s clear that fate is trying to tell me that it’s getting colder, I’m getting older and I better get used to it!
